The name of this exceptionally tasty speciality comes from the long and slow production needed to create it. The pitted black cherries are covered in sugar and then left to marinate for three days, and the resultant juice is collected and cooked, before being added back to the cherries.
INGREDIENTS
Black cherries, sugar. Quantity of fruit used: 100g for 100g of product.
Homemade product made without preservatives or colourants.
TIPS
This product is perfect for use in cakes like crostata, traditional sweet Italian tortellini, or to add flavour to ice-cream and chilled cakes, or alongside matured cheeses, and just on its own by the spoonful!
