The Fiumalbo croccante (“crunchy cake”) has been produced for special occasions since 1700, particularly eaten at weddings and baptisms. The recipe has been passed down from generation to generation via parishes and abbeys, including the San Rocco recipe that we are pleased to recommend to you. Covered in light pastry and then rolled around a rolling-pin, then quickly cooked in the oven, these almond crunches will win you over with their authentic goodness! INGREDIENTS
Almonds, sugar, glucose syrup, non-hydrogenated vegetable fats (palm), skimmed powdered
milk, emulsifier: E322 (SOYA LECITHIN),
cream. Handmade product.
TIPS
The classic Fiumalbo almond Croccante can be enjoyed in pieces, by breaking its classic cylindrical form, either as it is, or decorate milk puddings, such as zabaione (classic Italian egg-based sweet) or semi-frozen cakes.
